Meeting Marissa
Jasmine got to visit her eldest sister Marissa at her little sisters house. During the visit Marissa and Jasmine got to catch up on many things, got to hug and share a few crys. Jasmine also got to meet and hold her Neice Gracelynn and also got to meet her sisters boyfriend. In the end we planned on another visit in Newport, OR, Jasmine got her last hug until the next visit, she wa really excited to finally meet her sister but was really upset when Marissa had to leave. But Jasmine such an amazing time.
Bingo
My friend Julie invited me to attend a fundraiser for her kids athletic program. By ‘attend’ she meant take a bus filled with soccer moms (and a few dads) and head on down to the casino.
We spent most of the day playing bingo, which I found to be extremely boring. But Julie won $40 so she was excited. After we finished that we played the Penny Slots. Oh my gosh what fun that was! And I won $20! (I played $10 on the slots and $20 on bingo cards, but who’s counting…)
2016 Tolkien Festival
I broke a personal record this year. I watched all three of the Fellowship of the Ring movies in one sitting. And they were the extended versions. Boom!
Lucky for us fellow hobbits, elves, and dwarf want-to-bees, there was comfortable seating, close proximity to food and drink, and a short walk to the bathroom.
Gotta love Kennedy School’s Tolkien birthday bash. Can’t wait for next year!
