Tucson has a great zoo. Not huge but beautiful with lots of open spaces and easy access to the animals. And… a baby elephant! So cute watching her run after her mommy

Tucson Vacation – Easter
Our trip coincided with Easter. The day started with a visit from the Easter Bunny, followed by services at Glenna’s church. And of course Easter dinner. Glenna’s senior center had an amazing buffet with a prime rib the size of a stegosaurus.
Tucson Vacation – Family
Later on the second day we met up at Glenna’s apt complex. The pavillion near the pool was a great spot for a family cook out.
Tucson Vacation – Hike
Our second day started with a early hike in the desert. It is easy to forget how much color the desert has in the spring and the beautiful are the cactus flowers.
Tucson Vacation – Food
We went to Tucson to visit Jeff’s family, mom Karen, step dad Ted and grandma Glenna. We were able to time it so that we also got to spend time with his Aunt Jane and Uncle Walter.
There are lots of great reasons to visit Tucson, but Jeff and I go for family and food. Lots of good tasty food. Here is a sampling of the meals we enjoyed during out visit.
