We relaxed to soothing sounds of blues, gospel, opera, and show tunes. We also toe tapped, danced, sang, and clapped, because the soulful music was inspiring. And yes, my friends and me joined the throng of dancers to boogie down.

Pretty Eyed Penny
Our cat with the prettiest green eyes. We have had Penny for 11 years now. And yet she is still a kitten at heart. Shy and sweet she is Jeff’s special kitty. Penny’s hair gets pretty long and a bit more that she can handle. So every year now we take her in for a hair cut and we decided to show before and after pictures. She loves her new look! Naked kitty!
Jazz Festival
Today we ventured out to the Cathedral Park Jazz festival with our friends Joe and Jennifer. The park is situated under the the St. John’s bridge, which as you see in the photos provides a cathedral like setting. The weather started out overcast and ominous in the morning, but since it is Portland, we waited a few hours and it cleared up nicely in the afternoon to the low 80s with a nice breeze to keep things pleasant. Our picnic feast included exotic cheese spreads, crackers, fried chicken, cherries and double fudge brownies. The jazz music and park setting provided a relaxing ambiance to just sit back and relax while we chatted.
