Christmas Decorations

Here are a couple pictures of Emily’s holiday decor this year. Note the new addition of ‘Christmas Town’ – Emily and Jasmine have different opinions on how it should be organized – they each shuffle things around every day. Also take a look at the mantel, and you well see the labels Jasmine made for the stockings so Santa knows where to put stuff.

Food Adventure: Mongolian Grill

My mom is visiting us for Christmas week. Today we went out to lunch at a restaurant I’ve been wanting to try – a mongolian grill. I’ve been to these types of eateries before, but never with my daughter. I was excited to see her response.

Jasmine really enjoyed the experience. She piled her plate with chicken, pasta, and pineapple. The chefs made a special cooking performance for her, spinning her food in the air ‘like magic’. She also got lots of cuddling with grandma.

My favorite combo was pork, onions, green onions, zucchini, jalapeno peppers, garlic and ginger sauce.

Thanks to Jasmine’s eagle eyes, we also found out that admission included an icecream dessert. Jasmine and I got chocolate sauce, grandma got caramel.

Avery Bowling Party

Jasmine bowls a strike! Avery, Jasmine’s bff from school, had her ninth birthday at a bowling alley. While Jeff and I looked on, Jasmine, Avery and another school friend, Kassidy had a blast bowling. The gutter gaurds helped, of course. After cake the girls watched as Avery went into the booth of swirling game tickets and grabbed as many as she could. The day ended with video games and prizes.
