Spring is here. Well in 4 days anyway on the 20th. While working at home today, the birds outside were expressing their excitement of the new season. My little camera couldn’t capture their singing, but it did record the pleasant sound of the wind in the leaves.
It was Hawaiin dress-up day at school. Here is Jasmine in her island decor.
Jasmine’s school had an activity night. Kid’s could come in their pj’s to listen to storytelling in the library. And there were a couple rooms with games and crafts. Jasmine and her friend Cassidy put the United States back together.
Patty and Destiny came over tonight for a spaghetti dinner. And to drop off some Girl Scout cookies. Destiny showed off some of her gymnastics skills. The girls had a good time.
We volunteered at Columbia Springs today which provides environmental education to kids and has a working hatchery. We raked leaves, dug trenches, shoveled and spread gravel.
Jasmine was voted “Best Volunteer” of the day. I can see why, she did a great job shoveling. And we had fun driving the go-cart back and forth between the path we were building and the pile of gravel.
