Our friends invited us to stay the weekend at their vacation home in Sunriver, just sound of Bend, Oregon. With all the rain we were getting, the streams had many rapids and there were many impromptu waterfalls coming down the mountain sides. And we encountered got snow at higher elevations.
The delightful weather outside gave us a great excuse to go visit the zoo. We had a lots of fun and looked at lots of animals. Jasmine got a startled when a bird dropped out of a tree and then walked very fast toward her before turning around to head back into the vegetation. We felt bad for the zebra that had itchy skin, but it was amusing watching the horsy use every tree as a backscratcher. Afterwords we had lunch at our favorite Indian buffet, where Jasmine has grown to like tandoori chicken.

For a couple months Jasmine has been asking me what I look like with a mustache or asking me to grow a beard. So I did.
March has been snowy here. This morning our spring flowers had a coating of wintery stuff.
