Our friends Kristen and Mac have changed houses. So we headed over for some oooing and awing over the new digs. We also chowed down on a tasty brunch. Meanwhile, the kids amused themselves in their digital worlds.

Apple Pie a la mode on the cheap
When driving around town, I noticed a sign on a local restaurant. It said 50 cents for apple pie. I found that hard to believe. So tonight, Jasmine and I headed there after dinner to investigate.
It was true, with one small caveat. You had to buy something off the menu first. I think they meant an entree, but we got tater tots, and they seemed to let us slide with that.
The tots were quite crispy and delicious. And the apple dessert was soothing to the soul. Mission accomplished.
Mex Luncheon
We had a case of the hungry Sunday’s. So Jasmine and I headed to our local Mexican restaurant for some sustenance. (Also kids eat free today.)
Jasmine splurged and got a enormous fruity smoothy. She reported no brain freezes though. I bet the wolf hat helped out in that department.
Mom and Daughter Pottery
Emily and Jasmine signed up for the parks and rec pottery class this fall.
I sneaked in on their first day to take a couple photos. Jasmine got embarrassed, which I presume means I’m being a good parent.
Beaverton Parade 2013
Yeah! Another year, and another wonderful Beaverton parade. Lots of things to see and hear.
I never get tired of the drum beats of the marching bands.
