Today after visiting the library, we went on a short hike. At the park, Jasmine decided to sneak up on a squirrel. What followed was 5 minutes of entertainment as Jasmine and squirrel slowly played cat and mouse until finally the squirrel had a enough and bolted away.
On the way back to the car, Jasmine asked me to take a picture of some flowers and then while taking a break at a convenient bench – to also take our self-portrait.
Even though the weather was in the 90s, we had a great time at Beth’s bbq. Ella and Jasmine spent most of time swimming intermixed with some trampolining. I regressed to my youth with lots of badminton – Jasmine even tried it out.
This evening we hung out with our neighbors who just attended a wedding. Their kids John and Amelia gave us a fashion show of their fancy outfits. And Emily and Jasmine got some snuggle time with the baby.
The girls finished up their playday with blackberry picking, TV watching, dancing and card playing. This was Destiny first time playing the card game garbage – she did quite good.
Destiny came over for a playdate. We went to John’s Ultimate Pizza for lunch and gaming. This was Grandma Carolyn’s first time – she liked it much better than Chucky Cheese.
Destiny’s favorite attraction was the virtual ride simulator that had choices of rollercoaster, pinball and mine shaft. Jasmine liked the driving games from cars, motorcycles and boats. Both girls enjoyed salad, pizza, and of course icecream cones between game sessions.
