Happy Sleepy Easter!
So, Jasmine woke us up at 1am, saying it’s time for Easter. Emily said no.
Then, Jasmine came back at 5am. Emily said no.
Next, Jasmine came back at 5:30am. Emily said no.
Finally, Jasmine came back at 6am. Emily gave up and said ok.
Jasmine hunted for hidden eggs, ate some of them, enjoyed her easter basket.
At 7am the parents went back to bed. Jasmine stayed awake.
Emily and Jasmine decorated easter eggs with friends Beth, Melany and Ella. There are plans to get more eggs for next year, as two dozen was just not enough.
After the snowfall, we decided to take an alternate route home to avoid the cold snowy mountain passes. It is about an hour longer, but an easy drive and just as beautiful.
We had a relaxing visit with our friends John and Lisa and their three kids John, Amelia, and baby Alyce. We hung out, took a dip in the hot tub, went swimming at the local rec center, played lots of foosball and even some ping pong. We ate out at a nice mexican restaurant and a pizza place. We woke up the next day to a world coated with snow.
Our friends invited us to stay the weekend at their vacation home in Sunriver, just sound of Bend, Oregon. With all the rain we were getting, the streams had many rapids and there were many impromptu waterfalls coming down the mountain sides. And we encountered got snow at higher elevations.
