A nice feature of Emily’s job is their annual kid fishing event. We took Jasmine and her friend Grace for some farm raised trout fishing. This was Jasmine’s first time wrangling and I think she enjoyed it. I cooked up the fish later that night – she didn’t enjoy that. I didn’t like it overly much as well. I found out later, the strong flavor was due to a diet including fish protein. Soylent green anyone.
Jasmine went with Emily today to a Garden Faire. Emily was working a booth for her job talking about environmental education. Jasmine helped out by teaching people about the salmon life cycle. She also had a great time participating at the various crafts and activities at the event.
We had a fun day eating and bowling with our friends Brian and Patty. And Jasmine had a blast with her sister Destiny.
This was our first time at Big Al’s. And they were not kidding about its ‘bigness’. Giant tvs, giant nachos, giant lobby, etc. We ate lunch in their big restaurant, went bowling in their big alley, and ate big scoops of icecream.
It was also very loud, so our ears hurt and our voices were scratchy upon leaving.
In case you are wondering if it is possible to bowl two lanes at once, just ask Jasmine. She threw the ball down on our lane, which bounced up onto the divider, and then down onto the next lane.
We had a parent teacher conference today. So I took a couple photos of Jasmine and her teacher Mrs. Boro in their third grade classroom.
Our friend Beth invited us over for a delicious brunch of belgium waffles, quiche, bacon, sausage, and other goodies. Emily especially enjoyed the Irish soda bread.
