We ended Christmas day with a feast. As a vegetarian, I appreciated my mother making the turkey (thank you) and we sat down to enjoy our food and give thanks for a wonderful day and grateful we could spend it together. Jasmine had her first experience with the wishbone. In spite of my mothers best attempts to lose, Jasmine’s excitement and strength left her holding the short end. She’ll win next year for sure.

Christmas 2012
Christmas at last! Jasmine first became aware of it at 2am. We sent her back to bed. She checked back in with us at 4am and we relented at 5am. This explains why it’s still dark out. Still, Santa did not disappoint. (Nor did all of the Grandparents.) Jasmine ended the day with 4 barbies, 5 monster dolls, a doll house, the Barbie cruise ship and lots of new clothes. Jeff and I gave each other Nerf guns and my mom now has a new supply of old movies on DVD.
Christmas Eve 2012
We went the traditional route for Christmas Eve. Chinese food of course. After filling our bellies with stir fry and egg rolls we went home to prepare for the coming of Santa. Jasmine took the responsibility of seeing to the needs of Santa and the reindeer. And just in case Santa didn’t know, Jasmine left him a note explaining the carrots.
Avery Bowling Party
Jasmine bowls a strike! Avery, Jasmine’s bff from school, had her ninth birthday at a bowling alley. While Jeff and I looked on, Jasmine, Avery and another school friend, Kassidy had a blast bowling. The gutter gaurds helped, of course. After cake the girls watched as Avery went into the booth of swirling game tickets and grabbed as many as she could. The day ended with video games and prizes.
