East Coast Vacation: Day 2 – Excursions

May 17, 2014 Jeff Leave a comment

After our fancy lunch, we headed to the Havre de Grace landmark confectionery – Bomboy’s Home Made Candy (and icecream).

Then I rode shotgun with John, as he went to pick up various sundries for the wedding.

And that evening I got a historic tour of the life and times of high school Sphinx band with band members John, Brooks, and Scott. The tour ended at Arctic Circle for icecream and shakes.

East Coast Vacation: Day 2 – Rehearsal

May 17, 2014 Emily Leave a comment

Wedding bells are starting to ring. The rehearsal had great weather and it was wonderful to see everyone. My mother and I were, of course late. I spent the night at her place while Jeff and Jasmine stayed at the inn. My goal was to keep her on time. I’m afraid I was not the best candidate for the job.

But it was all good. And we had a nice rehearsal lunch that ended with a VERY nice Creme Brulee.

East Coast Vacation: Day 2 – Breakfast Walk

May 17, 2014 Jeff Leave a comment

We had a great night at our Havre de Grace hotel. Followed up by a wonderful breakfast.

We decided to take advantage of the perfect weather (and to burn off some calories) to walk around town. We discovered a lighthouse, a boardwalk, baby geese, and a playground.

Arriving back to the our accommodations we got our books and did some reading at the pagoda.

East Coast Vacation: Day 1

May 16, 2014 Emily Leave a comment

We’re off across the country for my brother John and fiance Lisa’s wedding.

Jeff’s agenda included eating large amounts of East coast seafood. It will be a trend in many of the upcoming posts.

We met my mother and brother for dinner where Jeff started his food journey with some phenomenal crab cakes.

Brunch Biscuits and Waffles Oh My

May 11, 2014 Emily Leave a comment

Met up with Lisa, Chris and Andrew for an awesome Mother’s Day Brunch at their house. Lisa grew up in North Caroline. So with two woman raised in the Southern cookin’ tradition, you know the breakfast is going to be good! Bacon and sausage, homemade waffles and my biscuits with gravy…
